Rens's specialty is 60 volt powering, not 48 volt re-fits.
Move towards the benefit of 60 volts and the benefit of having the powering scheme ride on a separate 4th conductor, not on a shield.

I have never had any noise or picked up any interference when using Rens's 60 volt modded mics. (Schoeps and B&K)
