Latin Jazz Ensemble - how to record

Hi Everyone!

I will be recording a Latin Jazz band the next week:
4 horns (brass), front
1 percussion set
1 full drums
1 bass
1 grand piano
1 vocal

it will be recorded live in a small club.

I have 16 inputs interface
And 7-8 condensers (2 pairs)
4 ribbons
5-6 dynamic mics

However, i am more interested in the approach,
should i close mic everything, every horn individually etc?
Or try to make a roomier recording with less mics?

The club is small, an not very good sounding when empty.

Any ideas?
