Rca 77-c1

Has anyone used a RCA 77-C1? I'm curious what they sounds like compared to other ribbons. I'm familiar with the RCA44, and with all of AEA's mics.

It's an older model than the 77DX, made in about 1940 I think.

Lives for gear
This year I borrowed 4 x BBC PGS ribbons
Made by BBC Research Dept for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth the II and FM Radio in the UK,1953.
Bronze construction and the prototype for STC/Coles 4038.
This was the mainstay for BBC Radio from the 50's to the 80's.
Delicious mikes with exceptional mid band and exciting ribbon presence.
Exception proximity ,up to 30".

However, need 80dB of gain ,and are perilous in wind and blast conditions.
Great fun though.
