Talking Beyer M160 for Vocals?

Wondering if anyone has used this as a live vocal mic?

My M160s usually end up being used on drum overheads.

I never considered using then for vocals.

I have used a Beyer m160 for vocals with success in the studio, I imagine it might be problematic in a live setting because it is very sensitive to pops from plosives, a pop filter is essential with this mic.

If you are looking for a ribbon sound for a live vocal, check out the Beyer M500. It was designed (I think) for live vocal use. They sound fantastic.

I have used the M160 with vocals too.
A singer with an high voice. He sings progresive metal (Something like Dream Theater) and the condenser mics didn't work well, then I put the M160 and we recorded 4 songs with it.

The M160 isn't my idea for the voice, but with that singer it worked fine.

Now I think that with a SM7 he could to have sound better.
