Pre-amp noise

I've just bought a semi-pro recorder, the Tascam DR-40 with the aim of make field recordings.
I still haven't done any test yet but it seems to have good mics. With the regard to pre-amp they are many comments about excessive noise
with not condenser mics. I'm trying to understand the concept of pre-amp & mics noise that is explained on this link that compare the ones
with low or high sensitivity. What is the meaning of the bar i.e. on the Sennheiser K6/ME 66, if the difference of 108dBu to 121dBu (the
pre-amp I suppose) is 13 what is says that "the preamplifier adds less than 0.2 dB of noise"??
