Best Solution?

I have a Mac (2017), a Nagra VI and brand new old stock Genelec S30Ds.

What is the best solution (purest) to get the audio off of my Mac and either:

1.Go digitally into the Genelec A/D converters?
2. Go analog into their balanced inputs

and

3. Go digitally into the Nagra VI to use it as the A/D convertor.

I am trying to avoid any resampling/converting so I can hear what I actually recorded.

Thank you.

Well, there's gonna be D/A conversion somewhere. It really depends whether you think the D/A is "better" in the Genelecs or in the Nagra.

Like Tim says. Listen to both ways. Does one sound better that the other?

Transfer the audio from your laptop onto the Nagra's harddrive (via usb cable the Nagra VI will appear as a harddrive on your laptop) and then play it back from the Nagra.

The Nagra cannot be used as a DAC. If you wan to use the Nagra’s converters, you will have to either copy the files onto the Nagra’s internal hard drive, or copy them onto a Compact Flash card, then play the files on the Nagra. Either way, it’s a bit cumbersome. How were the files originally recorded?
