What is taking TASCAM so long?

I am not used to Tascam leaving devices stagnating. I would like to see a redesign of the user interface, display, media, size, materials. I think this device has run its lifespan and am wondering if Tascam is going to do anything with it or pull it, or update it or design an entirely new product?

Maybe he’s referring to the hs-P82 as it is the tread tag?

Built on TASCAM's 30 years of reliable filed (sic) recording.

Have you contacted Tascam HQ in either Japan, USA or Europe to make enquiries first ? Seems it's been around since around 2010, with regular firmware updates since then: https://tascam.com/downloads/tascam/...-p82_rn_vf.pdf

...and in 2016 you got this: TASCAM Announces Major Updates for HS-P82 Recorder | News Details | TASCAM

Maybe, despite your complaints, they don't find compelling enough reasons to modify, adapt or delete the product line in 2019....and in recent years they did make a retail price drop....which shows they're keeping a wary eye on the marketplace competition.

If you want to build 'change momentum', why not create a "HS-P82-user Facebook page" and stir up owner enthusiasm there ? It's possible they (Tascam) don't regard it as a stagnant product at all.
