Classical music: Freelance mixing/mastering engineer

Hello everybody: I want to know if there are any freelance engineers that could mix and master my recordings. I need to records a set of 18 songs for tenor and piano and since I want good results I would like to hire someone for this job. How much do you guys use to charge for this? Thank you for your help!

I think you may be thinking about this backwards...I would be looking for somebody that can make a stellar recording rather than trying to fix it in the mix.
Also, don't over look the role of the producer in the process. A seasoned producer can get a better performance with fewer takes and less wear and tear on the performers.
Perfect example here is that I just made a recital record for a Soprano. I spent 4 days recording it, the first and second edits took 6 hours. The mixing took a total of 5 hours and the noise removal and mastering took about the 10 hours.
That being said, I mix lots of things that I don't record. My book rate is $200/hr. (Which is probably why I don't mix a lot of chamber music...)
All the best,

i never charge per hour, it's either half a day or a full day.

rates depend on gear: a room full of mics obviously costs more than a pc and phones for editing, yet still a lot less than all the equipment it takes for a live broadcast of a large orchesta with redundant recording of 128+ channels at high sampling rates.

my fee also depends on how much i like the genre/composition/musicians and how much i think i might enjoy to record (mostly a lot), edit (mostly not that much), mix (live a lot, in the studio a bit less) and master (often quite a bit) the music.

[not much love for belcanto, i prefer earlier or modern music - i rather go for a walk or read a book]

What Mark said.

But I'm not sure I get what you're asking - from the question it's not clear: did you record this already and you need it mixed? or do you need someone to make the recording?
