one knob dialogue cleaner

I don't know if this impresses or not....usually I like a little more control over parameters than this ? Sure, as you'd expect, at the extremes you can hear artifacts....so maybe a few lighter passes would work better (as well as knowing when to stop !) Anyway, here's the demo...I think it could work for aircon rumble/hiss removal...maybe it's tuned to voice, rather than complex music ?
YouTube

The sales pitch runs : "Audionamix, the industry leader in audio source separation, is proud to announce its newest plug-in, IDC INSTANT DIALOGUE CLEANER, available for pre-launch purchase starting July 2nd, 2018.

Unlike traditional denoisers that learn and remove noise, IDC works by separating and preserving your speech in real time, removing background interference without compromising the integrity of the dialogue.

This enables IDC to succeed where other tools fail. Tackle complex, variable noise interference including nature sounds, traffic noise, music and room ambience, all with a simple and intuitive turn of a knob"

You're right, cleaning shouldn't be any harder than gain setting...isn't that true ? I await the 1 knob series: mastering, mixing, effects-adding soon too !
