Tascam DR-100MKIII low-pass filters

Hello,

the Tascam DR-100MKIII has four A/D filters (FIR1, FIR2, short delay 1, short delay 2). I think the manual doesn't say much about them.

Any recommendations for either one?

Thanks

The summary is on page 24 of the reference manual. They are low cut, not high cut filters. FIR1 has a steeper slope than FIR2. Use them to remove unwanted LF noise.

Thanks, but page 24 of my manual doesn't talk about the filters. It's also a page in French.

My manual says that the "A/D Filter" settings "change the ADC audio quality". But you seem to suggest that this is the filter algorithm for the low-cut filter?

All mobile devices need low frequency attenuation
Boom rumble,traffic and wind
Don’t need em for music but essential for vox

I am referring to the Reference Manual. A copy is attached.

Enjoy!

Thanks but I still believe this is talking about the lowpass of the A/D converter, not the high pass filter.

Put differently: Does anybody have a preference for either filter algorithm?
