Switching from Logic to Pro Tools

Yes I made the switch and now for pro tools users. I am currently using Pro Tools 9 LE. I am using this to make beats not just rap but I make strip club music like Uncle Luke, Ying Yang Twins more Collipark type stuff. Here is my question.

1. When pro tools was under digidesign you need a specific interface for the program to load. Now since it is under Avid do I still have need a specific interface to use pro tools?

2. If I can use any interface what interface would you reccomend?

Focusrite Saffire.

If you don't need a load of inputs and outputs a Saffire Pro14 or one of the new Scarletts would be great. Nice pres and conversion, superb build quality, etc.

The same reason anybody would switch. Easy collaboration because lots of people use that platform and easier editing functions.

I love logic studio 9 and it is the best tool i have ever used for sequencing and producing material, but editing in logic is a nightmare, even after you assign shortcuts. But to it's benifit it really is a powerful program and in my opinion the most powerful sequencer out there. Yet the plugin organisation in Pro tools is more my preference versus, the AU stuff.

I just got pro tools 9 and i am keeping both because eachone can do somethings better than the other.

I was using Harrison mixbus, but that jack2 stuff is stupid....

Peace,
Min

First my mac harddrive went out, and the closest place that has the equipment to install one is to far from me. So I calculated wether was it better financially to get protools and a new interface or getting my mac fixed. And it was cheaper to get pro tools and a new interface.
