Can anyone reshare them, please!

Hi again!

Paul or someone who got all the samples!
Can you please tell me the whole size of the Morcheeba drum sample packs and i could maybe arrange a longer lasting hosting for them.

Thanks!

Just signed up for GS to pitch in my 2 cents worth of longing! Late to the game on these delicious sounds, and I would love if some kind soul (slut?) out there would give us n00bs and late-comers a chance at these beauties.

Pretty please??

Sidenote: The first time I heard Morcheeba was the summer of 1997. I was 12, and my family and I went on an outing to an arts and crafts village in the mountains of North Carolina. I wandered into a ceramics workshop smelling strongly of patchouli, and saw a vision of perfection in the form of a dready, coconut oiled, tank-topped hippie queen manning the kiln with not a brassiere in sight. Lost for words, and trying desperately to seem cool, I asked what the music was that was wafting throughout the pots and things. She looked up at me with big green eyes (gracefully not laughing at my awkward spiky-haired suburban american mall punk style), and just said "Morcheeba. They move me."

I'm sure I did something embarassing in response, because I seem to have blocked out what happened after that! Needless to say though, when we got back, I went out and got "Who Can You Trust?" ASAP and thought about the dready potter on repeat.

Nice story, tunafish. Thanks for sharing!
I, too, just signed up here to ask if anyone would please make these samples available again.
Maybe I can host them somewhere as well. Have to check that with my web space provider.
Feel free to PM me.

SO the "get off my lawn" noob-snoozer gets 2 thumbs up on his crotchety 2 cents, while the mega-gentleman Ronn so far gets none! Well Ronn, let me be the first to give you my thumb click, and say

THANK YOU!!!

And thanks to Paul for initially recording and distributing great sounds, and for providing the soundtrack to that patchouli flashback. Paul rules! Ronn rules!

Thanks for your story tunafish!

Turns out my daughter's art teacher is a big Morcheeba fan and when he asked her how she knew the group she said "because Paul is my Dad"

Inside Kick 441 grey > 1073 vintage > Purple 77

Outside U47 fet > 1073 vintage > LA2A vintage

Room SM69 Tube > Heritage 6673 > Thermionic Phoenix ME

And then blended and processed. Any reverb is the natural sound of my courtyard which I'm sure you can lose with envelopes and convert them to mono if you don't like it.
They are 24bit 44.1 and will still need a touch of truncation.

Anyway I hope you enjoy them and if you have any questions or feedback fire away.

Cheers

I think I got a step closer, I like how compressors sustain a sound. Is that how the acoustic kick got stretched out?

I'm not sure what you mean exactly Mate but the kicks had a natural decay that I may have artificially extended with the SPL transient designer. Compressors do some of that work though.

Thanks Paul G, youre very open to sharing your knowledge. I dont use spl transient designer much. I did get a sb4001 though. Im catching up Paul! lol
It sustains the drums a bit different than this api2500.

The Spl plug in is great and very affordable, I think it's the quickest way to tailor drums and it's on offer this week. I have no qualms in sharing info, I'm just glad to be of service!

I just wanted to say thank you to Paul_G and thanx to Ronn for the re-up.

I'll admit that I wasnt familiar with Morcheeba until this thread. I'm gonna go through some more of the catalog later this evening. It's the least I could do for this generous offer.

Paul_G, do keep us posted on your commercial release. I like to support the guys around here( SonicSpecialist, Sounds in HD, Goldbaby, Lagerfeldt's HitKit V.3, etc.) whenever I can.

All the best.

Same here. I'd heard the name a few times but had never heard anything by them. I did a quick Google search and see they're in the same vein as Massive Attack, so I think I'm gonna like it.

Hi Paul G,

Sorry I seem like a latecomer but work and kids... well... you know.

I'm hoping you could re-up the samples, another link or someone's reshare.

Apologies for any inconvenience and I understand if it's not possible.

All the best
