I'm looking to add an outboard compressor to my vocal chain. But won't be able to afford any of UA's products. Anybody have any opinions on a compressor mainly for Hip Hop and some R&B vocals, priced no more than $500.
for under $500 I always think the dbx 160 is a nice choice. I hear the 160A is not as nice, but that line is pretty good sounding to compress vox on a budget.
used a couple of my friends RNC's for a few weeks and personally I really liked them. For the price i dont think there's any way you can wrong. You could buy two of em for under $500
I've heard that the RNC's are great, but don't hold up on bass. If Disco D says they're tight on vox, then I'd say they're tight on vox. I guess it depends what you want 'em for.
I opted for an Alesis 3630 with the Black Lion Audio mod. I'll be doing the mod over the next two weeks. Will let ya'll know I get on.
Yo your Myspace tracks are sweet. Your vibe reminds me of a U.S. crew I toured with here in Australia - called 'The Procussions'. Nice.
Yo, Thanks. Yeah man I dig "The Procussions" . I think Im gonna go the RNC route I've only heard good things about them , it's really only gonna be for vocals and you really can't beat the price.
