Tracking MPC2500. How does the DA sound?

Has anyone tracked an MPC2500 using the 10 balanced outs, into good AD's, without putting them through pre's?

Can you offer your opinion on the sound? I am interested in knowing how it compares to the same track, had it been composed in a DAW at 24 bit, if that were possible.

Thanks in advance.
Tim.

Just wanted to know how the same track of sequenced samples would sound sampled at 24bit into Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools as opposed to the samples being sequenced in the MPC2500 at 16 bit and then tracked into your DAW using the outputs of the MPC. I guess it also depends on the DAW front end as well. Now I think of it there are a number of variables. Would need to hear the DA on the 2500 myself.

Nuk, thanks for the reply, regardless.
