Mackie MR 8s

This is my first set of monitors so I wasn't sure if when these are on there is low static sound? I just started to notice it and is there a way to get rid of it because now Im hearing it on everything I play back? Or is there even a need to get rid of it? Also, Im sampling drum breaks from my turntable threw a DJM 300 S mixer into my mpc 3000. Is a DJ mixer the best way to do this stuff? Any feedback would help.

Here for the gear

I've got the same monitors. Great for low end reference, not so good for vox/high end...still good though!

Maybe try turning down the amplifiers in the speakers themselves and push a stronger signal from your DJ rig. Sounds like the Mackies are just turned up too loud. Also, try some different cables/speakers to make sure it is what you think it is!

Good luck

Thanks man. I turned down the inputs. Sounds a little better.
