Snoop Dogg didn't kill pop music when he started singing... In other words, it's ART and it's ok for talented people to test other waters.

I think the problem isnt that stuff like this is being done, cuz u had hammer and vanilla ice

But the problem is its cosigned now. Hot 97 cosigned it.

Back then Ice Cube dissed it. So did hiphop

Hhid

Thats why i mostly listen to 90s rap

It's dead to those who jumped on the wagon and are now jumping off. Are computers are killing hip hop??? I should be safe with my SP1200 my MPC 4k and my VS-2480. I'll just have to keep my wifes PC away from them just to be safe.

Computers don't kill hip hop. People kill hip hop.

If you want good hip-hop check celph titled's latest album. Previously unused beats produced by Buckshot in the 90s. Best album I've heard this side of 2k. Real rappers on it. P

Definitely disagree on hiphop being dead...if you ask me it's better now than it has ever been. why? because of technology and the amount of access it gives you to acts. Don't like what they play on the radio or BET/MTV? fine, there's youtube, spotify, pandora to name a few right on your phone or computer. You have tons of blogs out that are exposing you tons of acts daily. The only thing now is that anyone can put out a record compared to back in the day when you HAD to depend on radio or magazine co-signs. that's not the case at all anymore. Mac Miller is the perfect example of this. For me, there's so many acts out there with talent it's hard to keep up with it all...that is what you should be happy about, that you DONT have to be a major label slave to put out great music to the masses.

+1 on the celph titled LP - get ya sleigh bells out!!

anyone doubting hip hop needs to be checking some of the new ish by Action Bronson or Apathy.

Beats wise I feel the underground has really gotten back on it over the past few years, new boom bap producers with slamming drums popping up all the time.
