SCSI drive is asleep!

My external scsi drive for my sampler works perfect.
However its motor asleep and awaiting some signal responce from protools (Im not using protools) and my sampler is "Searching for operating system, disk not responding.

I called glyph and they dont know.

Is it a jumper on the drive so it wont be freaking asleep?
You know when it power saves and spins down?

from what i remember there was a jumper on scsi drives called spin delay.

this prevents it spinning up until it recieves a scsi start command iirc
