Why not? it can bring vocals upfront or push it back in the mix.

Reverbs, delays, usually on aux tracks, especially for the vox. Plate reverbs are good to add shine. Also experiment with light chorus, and snapback delays. They add space -wideness. Bit crushing, distortion on some stuff. And hot drum sounds to start with. Don't fix it in the mix. Get it right from the start. It will be easier in the end and sound better.

On a computer. I use these plug in ****z that are ill and then level the ****z.

Honestly, what are you trying to ask? For pretty much any of us to write exactly what we do, without skipping any details, would take a few pages to a book, especially if we touch on things we do sometimes, or things we do for particular purposes or elements that don't exist in every song, etc.

Here is some advice. First, let this thread go through it's life cycle. Then, when this one is done, wait a week, start a new thread and explain what you are feeling you are doing right, and what you feel you are lacking. Explain your process. Then people can help you. If you are just curious, well, go on youtube or something.
