making your own interesting rhythms?

ok,

So recently I found there has been one thing really missing from my beats (its ok im 15, plenty of time to improve ) The rhythm of the main melodic element. For example, the chords that you write or the melody that you have written.

Can anyone point me in a good direction as to how I could improve the rhythmic content of my chords or melodies. I would like to hear your techniques and your advice

I think this YouTube - Dawaun Parker - Lost is a good example of a good rhythmic track

Thanks

Just keep practicing playing live and your rhythm will get better.

I was thining about buying a pair of drum sticks and tapping out rhythms on those.....

But I mean also as part of the track, to come up with new rhythms internally

I think buying a pair of sticks is a great idea. You could also just tap your fingers on something too, if you dont want to spend money on sticks.
