Best Plugins Of 2010

Sorry, Not sure if this is the correct thread location.

This is my vote for the best VST's and VST demo's up to 2010.
Please feel free to add your own, I'm sure that I miss many.

This was taken from one of my other post on VST's but please check out these demo links
Coming to the end of 2010, I think that these are the most fascinating VST's & demo's up until 2010.
I may have overlooked some but not many.

Case & point :

Try typing in a word and have the VST Choir sing what you type....No workstation can do that.

Example

RealGuitar played live with a Mac Pro it’s amazing.

I really don’t think that a Workstation can out do a dedicated VST for sounds.
just my opinion.

Please feel free to add your own best VST / DAW / Workstation / Plug in's / Mic pre / whatever ''best of'' up until 2010 to the tread, I'm sure that I can learn more and miss many.
Thanks GS fam.
Peace & blessings.

My best updated DAW for 2010 is Sonar X1 Producer.
Nice arrangement mode.

I'm not sure if sQuad came out this year, but wasn't PSP Oldtimer?

Also RX2/Advanced added a lot of new tricks, and ramped up the speed.

I was on the studio one trip for a good 6 months because i got a free 'pro' copy when i worked at guitar center. In the end my mixes just weren't as crispy and open.

the 'project' section of it is SICK though. perfect for mastering and a direct burn to redbook masters, and seperate insert sections for all tracks and individual tracks

check it out:

Lexicon PCM Bundle. Hands down winner. First reverb to ever sound 100% as great as the hardware does.

I haven't bought any plug-ins since 2005. Seriously.
Digital sucks. And I'm not trying to be funny either.
Tape and analog all the way!

Some cool stuff there regg.

Can't think of anything off the top of my head that's essential from 2010...probably forgetting about some though and I haven't got the Lexicon plugs yet.

I got the soundtoys bundle this year even though I'm pretty sure it's been around for a while (years?)...but I love them. Still finding new things and have spent tons of hours messing with them. In one word - satisfying..I've never been more happy with a plugin purchase. Been using the different effects by themselves or in combo very subtlety lately and they can add that little bit of 'something' that grabs your ear. They do the more extreme stuff great as well.

Remembered some others -

The Glue! Money well spent...get heaps of use out of it.
Melodyne with DNA - could probably live without it but impressive tech and improvements to the algorithm in the future could make it a very interesting tool.

If you haven't bought a plug-in since 2005 you should not be in a best plug-ins of 2010 thread my man! Unless it's for inspiration..

+1 Whats the point??

I really got into Omnisphere this year but I think its older than 2010.

Decapitator was a great one for me. Love it a lot!

Lexicon could have been one for me but its just way too pricey

OK although I did download this DAW and opened it a few times I must admit that I was really impressed.
One of the best DAW's for the price for 2010 and beyond.......REAPER would get my vote.

Peace.
