Show us your studio/home setup 2010

I know this has been brought up in other GS sections, I thought it would be interesting to see the Hip Hop slutz step up and show off your rigs... (I will post my humble little setup as soon as I get a USB cable to transfer pics)

P.S. Lets keep negative comments away from this thread... thanks fellas

You can see parts of my studio in this little interview I recently did about a german single that I`ve produced. Sorry, it´s in german and the lighting is bad, but I don´t have any pics handy... Studio view starts at 1:04 min.

Thanks.

A HomeDepot wood brace with spacers for the motif. The monitor splitter was light enough to use sticky velcro.

I also see it's a good color scheme for encouraging creativity, calmness, thirst, and hunger. Everything an artist needs at some point.

Oh yes all bases have been covered, and it also toggles as a mobile unit running on 4 triple A batteries for those on the road situations.

That would be perfect for Lil Wayne when he gets back to doing shows. Definitely not a one size fits all set-up, but perfect for him. He should get an endorsement deal.

Here is my humble setup. I'm in a room that will become the vocal room sometime this year when I finish the other half of my basement/control room.

This would be a cool thread if everybody shared. Particularly your ghetto rigs. I had to make a video recently and I shot my gear while I was setting up the webcam. My **** is a world away from PSM's, but I'm making rapper loops not scoring a Speilberg movie y'know. Feel free to rag on my lack of room treatment and/or any behringer devices you might see.

You don't have to download anything, there is a previewer...

All thats important is that it gets the job done.
Its all good.
Ive seen and heard peeps with much less and they had stuff released and it sold good.
So therefore, its not the plane, its the pilot.

Seems like Rokit 5 is a REALLY popular home studio monitor.Always see them on home studio pics. Did some mixes on them at home this week and when I checked them at my studio on Genelec 8050 Genelec 1030 and NS10 , the translated really well. Made very little adjustment. Gives me a little more faith that I can mix in my little room at home.

Right and true PSM, and that drives me to get busy with the stuff I have and not keep fiending after the next thing and the next thing. Except for records, you can't get too many records.

Yeah buying monitors at this price point is a bit of a lottery, dealers don't really want to let you audition stuff, so you have to go on what you might have experienced in other peoples rooms, or read a lot of reviews. I am usually suspicious of reviews in magazines and such, but the Rokits seem to be universally well regarded. I like them, but I don't have day to day experience of anything better.
