Philly, I'm pretty sure your a big fan of the UAD Plate 140, if I'm wrong correct me, but I was wondering if you like the Lexicon reverbs more now? You seem to be blown away by their quality.
I love them both and for different applications. Most of the time,I have maybe 3 or 4 verbs and 2 delays and maybe a chorus like the Roland Dimension D set up as "colors" so not to have the same verb or effect type , ie the same manufacturers plate. They all have their place and I love all of them just the same. In fact, the UAD Plate 140 now has an update which gives you input filtering which is quite nice.
I recently purchased the Lexicon PCM Reverb bundle and found it to be a great addition to my arsenal of plug ins and my new "go to" reverb of choice. Its a bit pricey both worth it. Has anyone else here tried it and if so,your opinions please.
it's incredible. also has become my goto for my home setup. with these reverbs i feel i can create any air/room i want...e.g. if i want to match the air or verb of a sample that has a very distinct air/room i feel like this verb can do it...and i've yet to find a plugin that can do that. In regards to matching 'air', you really have to know what your doing with the settings (gotta know the fundamentals shortcut seekers!!) and you have to pick the right verb to correspond to that sound (plate on snare etc.) but these reverbs can seemingly do it all.

I see I see..I'm just curious about that update, I own the UAD-1 card is the update only for UAD-2 users?
Yeah, but we are also making a butt load less then we used to so its still not the greatest deal considering entire plugin bundles cost that much. I wish I could justify the cost but TLspace and revolver are doing just fine for me. I would rather spend the money on the sonnox bundle or 500 series EQ and pre. I think $800 is the max I can do for a single purpose plugin.
Does it come with Rich Plate from the 224??? Love that setting!!
Agreed.That's another important factor.
But it sounds like a great reverb. I'm pretty sure there is a demo available.
As a side note, the new Relab plugin features the 480's "Tiled Room", which sounded different and some preferred it. It's a great day now that we can have both of these classic top tier reverbs on our laptops. The future truly has arrived for software reverbs.
PCM blows it away... UAD2 will have a true licensed version which will nail it.
