Available from Softube as an RTAS or VST native solution. I am excited about this. Has anyone used it yet?? There's a discount if you get it in October.
EDIT: Sorry for being mad late on the info. I didn't realize there was a thread in the new products section.
Well, I didn't see any of the usual posters from this forum over there so I'ma keep it goin'. I downloaded the demo and I gotta say, It works really well. You can really push it and it doesn't sound like your typical plugin comp.
Has anyone here even demo'd this yet? If not, you're missin' out. Seriously. I recommend it to all you beatmakers too. It's a monster on drums. I'm just really surprised that hardly anyone here has commented. How could you be a producer/engineer and not appreciate this?
I think for 400 it's expensive but if it sounds great I might jump on the train.
Hey Chris have u ever used the Hardware? & even more, know the ticket on it? The Hardware is GREAT & $300+ is about 10% of the Hardware cost... We have 2 @ my Nashville spot... Incredible unit...
For those who won't/don't buy the Waves CLA, you've gotta get this for sure!!!! I'm so tempted to get it since I use the hardware for tracking all the time and it's awesome (1073>Tubetech>PT).

And for under 3 big ones, it's pretty affordable.
Are you saying that it is equivalent to having the hardware?

Of course he isn't. And of course it's not. It's a plug-in. But it's a waaay nice plug-in at what it does. Anyone that really wants the sound of the CL-1B should get one. Anyone that wants to either just use the plug-in or use the plug-in as a supplement to the real thing should do that.

Yep I use it from time to time. The one I use has 1 Telefunken 1Ax7 and I can't remember which 1AU7 it has, but it sounds creamy and it tames shrill mics, it's just an awesome piece of gear. I'm gonna have to buy one eventually. It sounds big and present.

Cool vid by the way, but I'd still like to have the real thing nevertheless. Just changing the tubes makes a difference in the sound so, there isn't only 1 type of Tube Tech sound.
