It was great when my Akai S900 was great. But now, to me, it sounds like crap.
An 01v would be alot better sounding for recording, and only costs a bit more.

Awfully quiet? Sorry just had a few beers, couldn´t help my self.

Seriously, having owned both the ProMix01 and the 02R I have to say that the 01 sounded better. Don´t know why but my theory is the summing bus. 18 vs. 40 channels of mediocre sounds.

However, the comps in the 02R were better but those were not even close to good.

I'm not a fan. When I was 17, my band recorded at a place that used adats and mixed on the promix1. The next place we recorded mixed us on a Mackie Digital 8 Bus. Digital has come a long way....
