Hardware :

pcm91 for vocals and mainly melody instruments

tc M2000 sometimes for drums / percussions

mpx1 for drums / perc - the ambience programs are better than those of the pcm91. They give you a good impression of depth.

Software :
TL Space whenever it fits. I also liked the Eventide reverb plug, but didn´t buy it yet.

Cheers,
Bill

I Waves but don't like either true verb or ren. although for backing vox the plate settings are better than true verb, if you want a bit of clour in the sound. I find you can't add alot of pre-delay without it sounding cloudy.

Hi,

To be honest it has been a while using the waves plugins.

I used the Waves with short reverb tails, plate kind of things. I can remember I had to tweak a lot to get a sound before it was satisfying to my ears.
I used them on instruments, drums etc. They where usefull for I needed, but I prefer the EMT's.

Check the noisevault website or http://www.knufinke.de/sir/index_en.html
for a free convulation reverb. With the VST-wrapper it was even possible to use it in Protools!
Eats much CPU power, but works great.

I think most of the lexicon verbs off that site are better than the ones that come with space designer. So start with those.

using the 480L on just about everything that neads verb, its got a very special vibe to it.

but for room sounds altiverb cant be beat

for vocals, generally no verb, just AMS delay... slap slap

waves IR, Roomverb M2, princeton digital, lexicon pantheon... Waves Rverb (am not using it on any new mixes...too many bugs....) ... though lately roomverb M2 gets used the most (many great presets... and does not eat as much cpu as waves IR)

I don't have any hardware reverbs but the Revibe plugin takes care of most things surprisingly well.

Hey man, i used to use adobe.. for like 3 yrs until i got my pro tools setup..

i also originally would use the Tight n Close reverb for vocals, but i discovered that the (Vocal - Nice presence) was better sounding for the vocals. Youll have to twerk with the settings a bit.. i think i had to reduce the echo on the preset.. dont recall exactly. But i do know that it ended up sounding a lot better than the Tight n Close for vocals

You should try it out heh
