what is this track missing(other than a point)

i have almost completed this track and i would like to know if it could use any final touches. i will be releasing this on XM radio in 4 days.
The lable i work for wanted a club track. I am a emotional artist that prides himself on depression mixed with awsome word play but if they want a club track this is what i came up with so i am looking to you all to tell me if its missing something. kinda want to make this as complete as possible without over producing it - Feedback productions - Kansas City, US - Hip Hop / Indie / Rap -

Sounds not bad but:
The Intro is too long and you gotta distinguishe the hook a bit more.
Maybe add some strings too it.
Hard to explain ,but I think this track could be a clubbanger ,there are just some things missing in that beat.
For my taste it's too "soft" ,It could bang a bit harder but that's a matter of taste. I like grimy tracks

This isn't Future Producers. Despite the rules, I don't think anyone minds critiquing a track once in a while, but this is not what the forum is for.

Anyway, I'll give you my one time critique. The track is ok, but it's lacking a middle. You have decent drums, bass underneath, and the high end covered with the synth, but the entire middle range is missing. You need something to fill out the middle. Also, the track gets repetetive so switch the beat up -a bridge, breakdown, new synth line, something. I also agree with the homey above that the hook could be better developed. You might want to trash the intro, too. A reggae-chatting intro sounds real dated unless the track is a dancehall/club hybrid song ala Rihanna or Sean Paul.

You have a cool foundation with the drums and synth line, but it still needs some work to be a commercial track...if that's what you're going for.

..........the synth line is not strong need a bit of ear candy......and this isn't it.........I would mess around see if u can come up with a hook. Beat is fine and rap sounds tight.......but as other pster said needs something to fill the middle out.

thanks guys

like i said i am a emotional artist so this is really not my thing./ i gave it my best shot at being commercial. I have such a hate for commercial music that when the lable wanted my to do this i really did not but i tried.
everything is still pretty raw though. still has to be mastered
plus we have a guy that does vocals. he comes in and puts a extra crispy sound to them. so i will try to add some changes in the beat, and a breakdown sounds good. maybe re eq the synth to have a resonate sound.
thanks guys for your feedback. like i said i woulda posted this else where but people really dont comment in the other forum unless your doing rock or something more metal. in my opinion of course

Ya i got to agree with what everyone is saying so far in regards to filling in the middle. You got a good basis so far, but you gotta add the ear candy and sugar to the tune now. If this is suppose to be a club banger, it gotta be sick enough to bang out the club bro.

It couldnt hurt to make the bass a bit more heavy.
This is usually the point of time where a producer would bring in a sick keyboardist to finish up the job and add in some greatly intelligent fills.

Go back and fix up some of those things and let us check out the new additions. Good track though man thumbsup
Aint mad at that effort at all
