looks like a killer rig...the pricing makes me wanna gag though...you can cut the price down by shopping with a lower priced dealer. I know the dealer where I live would be considerably less but I'm not sure if its cool to just shout names out.....

never buy this much gear at one time and NOT GET A PACKAGE PRICE.

and if you go with a Rosetta...why not the 800 with (8) I/O's vs the 200??

and you might wanna re-vamp your audio cable selection.

Where in Ohio are you going to be I live their, and would love to work for free as long as I learn something instead of being a studio slave

Now I wouldn't get the Motif all the sounds are played, instead I would substitute it with Alesis Andromeda, and I would get the 88 Key fantom

For recording I would get Logic and another interface instead of what you put down, unless you would have got Pro Tools HD

and I would get a mac book pro because you can upgrade it like a pc so thats mean more ram and stuff

you can upgrade the RAM etc in a Mac Pro as well. The Mac Pro is far more powerful the Macbook Pro.

I did'nt see a headphone amp there, and I would rather think of getting an ASR as an additional sequencer (some people don't like MPC's) and a keyboard, and a fantom/motif rack for the sounds.
A lexicon MX 500 would add some nice hardware effects to your setup.
Maybe you can save some money by buying some gear used, you can find a used rack fantom/motifs for a lot cheaper than the new ones.
MicroKorg would be really good for basses and generating new synth sounds

Okay, so I might need some better cables that Ill probably buy somewhere else, most likey canarie or mogami, Think I may pass on the fantom, and roll witt just the motif, wich is for basic sounds and basic synth, layering that type of stuf.

Im going to be in columbus.

I used to use the Raxxess center desk and two side wings. You can do better. Now I only use the center desk. Keep in mind you also have to buy the underdesk tray for your computer keyboard for the center desk which is a few more bucks.

I would not recommend buying these units. They aint worth the loot. Pressed wood and they don't look that great. I got rid of one side rack and replaced the other one with a nice-rack.com slanted rack with wheels that is real wood and looks waaaaaaaay better. It also isn't as deep (the raxxess side desk I had was very deep which made it take up tons more room that it had to.)

I'd recommend you investigate other furniture options.

okay I'm not in CO but I suggest getting the Fantom instead of the motif, the motif is becoming the same as the triton

Depending on what your production goals are that just gear not a function environment.
Since that's a $30k list of gear you had i would assume you are working with a feasible budget so make the budget do you some good.
Also if you must buy gear from Sweetwater you have to talk to a rep to get realistic pricing even if you aren't making the purchase yet.
And most importantly don't be afraid of used gear.
There is just so much next to new used gear out there because people shop with student loans or credit cards then need money.

Whenever you are building from the ground up it's better to discuss your goals and ask questions instead of developing a shopping list.
As the old folks use to say haste makes waste.
Which seems to be what most people now do with their gear purchases.

I not buying used because all of this gear will on either a line of credit or financed, whatever. I would love to buy used and pick up some really good gear, just not feasible how the finances are set up. Also the financee prefers new. That said I may look somewhere else for furniture, thx for the feedback. I have a pretty firm grasp on what it takes to make me go, this isnt my first equip, list for a room. My personal setup is really simular, but I new there would be some help here for me.

Im sticking with a desktop, were not going to need portability, so Im going for power! Also with all that power I dont think Im going to need an HD set up. There I said it, That was hard. Plus I own a copy of logic pro, if i need high track counts wich I most likely wont.
