lLogic users quick question from a new user

Is this good or not, when mixing in the program itself, should I have the master volume at 127 at all times, or lower it depending on the level of the instruments/vocals in the mixdown.

127 is the midi value that equals to 0db. . but i get what you are saying.

depends on how you feel about it. the rule of thumb is to leave the master fader at 0-db (127 fader value) and work the internal bus mixer to lower other things which will be easier if they are in busses or groups.

the amount of space left from what you see in yellow (audio) and what touches or peaks 0dB is callled headroom and you want to have it about 3/4th of it so there is space enough for the maastering process.

in the parameters box under 'value as' you change the value of the fader from numbers
to db then 90 is equal to 0db

127 is +6db

thanks
I am confused when listening to the Tutorial because I have a Firewire Solo and 2 KRK Rokit monitors, and a Mac. On all 3 I can adjust the volume of each but I don't know what should be set at the highest and what shouldn't right now I got the KRK's at the highest volume along with the FireWire and use my Mac Volume button to control it

am I doing this right

Shouldn't really be too big of an issue.
Just don't peak.
and keep working on how well you mix,
it's a practice that you need to refine.

And about the volume adjusting on all of your gear,
just play with it.
You'll figure out what's best as you go.

That's what I did and I'm doing fine.
