Is there Enough Headroom in my Mix for Mastering

Does this rap mix have enough headroom available for mastering? Or should I bring the levels down?

Should be fine. As long as there are no peaks hitting zero, you should be OK. At this point if the mastering engineer needs more room he can lower it himself to his taste.

In regards to mastering, headroom isn't what's important (unless it's clipping).

What's more important is dynamic range. If your mix is over compressed or over limited, the mastering engineer can't undo that. Worry more about the dynamic range (or lack of dynamic range) than the overall level.

Also, posting a picture of a waveform isn't ideal. Actual audio is much better.

Based on the picture alone, I’d bet there’s a good amount of dynamic range there to work with, but like someone else already said, the best thing is to have your mastering person (not robot) give it a listen.

I’m happy to see it doesn’t look like a brick.
