Orange NI Machine... MK4 on the way?

Anyone else get the 10 year anniversary email for NI Maschine with the limited (only 100 I believe) orange version announcement?

It’s looks pretty cool, although I don’t need another one.

What interests me is: since they are making such a big deal of it... is there an MK4 on the way?

Anybody have info on this? Rumors? Outright lies and accusations? Conspiracies?

I can't see a MK4 on the near horizon if they are putting out a limited edition MK3. More likely v3 software. Maybe.

Gotcha.

I think the current number release is approaching 4 years old. It would be nice to see NI freshen it up and add some new features.

I’d kill for audio warping (not just time-stretch) like Ableton Live has... and maybe integrate Maschine and Battery into one product. I still think Battery kills Maschine for making you own kits.

If you want some speculation there's this thread over at NI: https://www.native-instruments.com/f...schine.357965/

with this (unofficial) post from a mod -

"Because I am a genius (lol) I figured out that when you plug in a Maschine Controller to your computer the software checks what controller version it is and what scripts to load based on a list, so I edited it and forced it to load these new scripts into my MK3, the result doesn't need much talk on my side or point anything out, take your own conclusions:"

Which (if true) kind of contradicts my previous post...
