Sup, fam. I just copped this compressor: the PuigChild compressor, modeled off of the Fairchild 670. The dude who helped bring this vintage replica to fruition said he uses this over the Fairchild 670 90% of the time. They really took their time to make this a GREAT compressor and it's on sale for 49 dollars bro! I instantly copped this today, and tested it on one vocal, and immediately was satisfied with my purchase. I'll post the link below - worthy compressor to try out and experiment with. Turning virtual knobs is nice like turning real ones.

Link: Fairchild Compressor Plugin: PuigChild 660 & 670 | Waves

Try it on everything, but I read that it's REALLY good for vocals and bass, and through testing it on a bass track as well, I'd have to say I agree. Peace!

This sounds like a Waves infomercial from 2007, lol.
FWIW, That's an old plugin that sounds NOTHING like a real 660, and turning virtual knowbs is nothing like turning real knobs.

The thread is about: "This is a thread compiling everybodys favorites."

Please stay on topic, fam.

I'm just excited about the compressor and I feel in touch with analog while turning these digital knobs, since I don't have the privilege of working on an analog mixing board right now.

Whether or not it sounds like the original - that's your opinion, but this plug in is definitely one of my favorites.

Peace, fam.

The TLM-67 sounded great through the Neve but the U87AI was much more open up top. I prefer the U87Ai for a modern rap vocal. Those raw recordings required less processing and EQ for the vocal sound I'm looking for.
