Like SH*T??

Is that a matter of opinion? Or is it common knowledge that the Novation Xstation presets suck?

I'm about to hit the stores one of these days & hear for myself, but still..

IMO Ryan Leslie is cold as ice! Check out his beatmakin' / songwritin' videos on www.ns4life.com

It seems he is using that X station as a controller for his other synths such as the Triton. Those sounds are not from the internal synth. I have the complete 200 X station patches loaded in my Novation, and none of those sounds are there.

It must be his small and handy midi controller, no doubt.

Dude is decent! Nice clean, uncluttered tracks - the way I like them. I agree with the above, I think he is using it (x-station) as a controller.

Yeah

Plus, he's a dope songwriter as well... What would be a good alternative to copping the microkorg btw? I'm looking for sidstation-like, futuristic stuff... Y'know... Haha

I agree, the factory patches are quite cheesy and lifeless.

Yeah. The cool thing about Ryan Leslie is that he's not the corniest guy who's ever lived.

In case if this wasn't sarcastic, he's a producer/singer (as of now famous for producing and unknown for singing). Listen to that video and tell me it doesn't sound like a hit. He's one of those guys I was ready to hate on when I first heard him and heard of him, but I can't hate him. He's the real deal and as long as the quality of his work doesn't wane he will keep getting bigger and bigger. Very VERY talented dude.

Yeah

I first heard one of his tracks like a year and a half ago.. The single "Just Rite" which was hot.. Then these vids of him workin' in the studio on the Cassie-stuff started poppin' up, and as they'll tell ya... Dude is mad talented.

The Alesis Andromeda looks soooo dope btw, damn I want me one of those...

He definitely has an identifiable sound. And it's damn clean.
