Slipperman... and the four W's

Just want to know a bit more about you and yours, sir.

Who is Slipperman?

What's the name of your studio complex?

Where is it located?

How do you like the recording studio climate these days?

Thank you for your time in advance.

Mid town/east side... 46th st. between 2nd & 3rd.

It's an awsome joint!! 3x SSL 9kj's and an 8088 [blown out to 48 inputs, w/GML automation]... yet it remains mostly a private facility where only a select [hand chosen by the Slipperman himself] few from outside the colony are permitted to ply their craft.

I feel honored to be among the few who have been invited to work at the Slipramian House of Sound... the product I am able to achieve there is truly stunning.

Fletcher is just pulling your chain. I know 'slipperman'. Just to spite him, I'll post your information.

'Slipperman' is acually a famous mixer...but he's famous for mixing food. Most people don't know that Emeril Lagasse is, in addition to being a great chef and funny guy, an audio guy too.

His studio is in New Orleans. Its a three-camera soundstage with offline editing suite and VO/ADR suite. He produces his cooking shows there.

It's called "Sound Saute". You'd think the guy could come up with something better, but he never listens to his staff on things like this.

He hates the studio climate these days, because he has been out on the roof shoveling many feet of snow.....er.....rain. yeah, that's it, he's shoveling the rain off the roof.

You'd think, watching him on tv, that he would be a great guy to work for. Not so. I did a stint with him, it was a nightmare. Talk about your egomaniac! Mini-micro-nano control of details. I thought I was working on the Martha Stewart Living set, fer krissakes.

Anyway, hope this helps.
