Mike, Just wondering what you print your mix too. After your 2 out from the Hedd where do you go?

Going back to PT would be yet another set of converters.
Going to Masterlink is also more conversion.
If you don't go to tape where do you go?

Phil Buckle.

The Hedd is an A/D converter so I go digitally out and back into protools.......no extra conversion

Even though my sessions are 24bit 48k I set the Hedd to 24bit 96k

And print to a Masterlink...

Jules, do you send the CD24 disc to mastering, or do you convert it to an 96kHz .wav or AIFF file and send that?

I just toss the whole unit + A Cranesong Hedd & Benchmark DAC-1 into a car and drive it all to mastering...

The UK is not so "Masterlink hip"

That said I usually SRC it down (with a Finalizer 96k) and master it myself in PT with

Sony Oxford EQ's & Inflator

these days.. there is little buget for pro mastering round here......
