Vintec

Dave, I just read on the polarity thread that you have a Vintec.
Is that the full console or some modules?
How would you compare it to other boards in punchiness (impact), Is it 'soft' sounding? How is the automation?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but you are the first person I have run into that has mentioned using one.

Do you have a website where we might be able to take a gander at it?

Didn't you used to draw funny little cartoons for MAD magazine?

You're thinking about http://vintec-audio.de/ right? I have a pair of Vintech Audio X73's, which is quite different. http://www.vintech-audio.com/ is the URL for the compnay whose equipment I own.

And no, I didn't draw for Mad Magazine, though I used to read it...

Just looked at that German tube console, great concept, probably sounds amazing but it better come with it's own A/C unit. Any idea about the price?

The 56-channel is something like $500,000 + the upgrade on your A/C system + the extra electrical power needed to run it + ...Oh, just give me one and I'll handle my A/C upgrade and electrical power needs on my own.

Besides, I still don't think anyone has publicly admitted to taking it for a spin....maybe it could be real mushy sounding, then only a few will bite and we'll see them on Ebay in 5 years.
