Akai Force Process/ Organization

Hello Kieran,

Thank you for answering some questions for us.

I recently saw your set at Intercell x Perctrax on youtube. Excellent performance. It looks like you did the whole set with a modular and Akai Force.

As an Akai Force and modular user myself, I would like to ask if you can share your process with the device.

Do you use it in the studio or just for live?

Any tips on organization or workflow with the machine?

Thanks
-Miles

I use the force just for live, or some times when I can't be bothered to connect my laptop to the modular in the studio. I set up 2 pages on the Akai both 8 channels so when I press shift and across it goes completely to a new page. page one is samples page 2 is midi that controls the modular via the polyened midi to cv.
Akai sounds come out of 1-2 and the modular out of 3-4, I use the Akai for process the modular using eq and reverb/ delay that has a dedicated knob that I can record automation live, I also have a modulation channel for each of the 8 midi channels from the polyend set up on the knobs. so I can record 8 channels of modulation live that go to the modular usually decay of the envelopes or feedback screams.
