How do you pronounce your surname?

Hi Michael, I'm loving all the info you're sharing here with us but whenever I go to tell somebody that you're guest moderating here, I feel silly because I don't know how to pronounce your last name. I know, silly question, but it's stumped me a couple of times lately. I'm sure you've heard it said many a different way over the years. Ok, now I feel really silly.
Thanks again for taking the time out to share your knowledge with us slutz thumbsup

Oh yeah, mine is said Stine not Steen!

Thanks for asking. It's pronounced brower, like the brow above your eyes...unless it's preceeded by the words "that fu*king guy, Brauer" in which case it's pronuced braaaayer, like the sound an ass might make.

don´t know if anyone cares...

In the medieval times in germany people used to have surnames
that gave infos about their jobs/what they did for a living.

So very long time ago Mr. Brauers ancestor was working in/ or owned
a brewery.

Brewer = Brauer
Brewery = Brauerei
to brew = brauen

just thought i should share this, i´m having a cold one now... heh

as a matter of fact, when drinking a cold Beck's, my name is right on the label "Brauerei".

Unfortunately, that's one royalty I don't get.
