Oblique Strategies?

Kevin,

Thanks so much for all your input on this forum. I've learned a lot from your many generous responses.

I imagine that working with Brian Eno at some point the "Oblique Strategies" cards

came out during production with U2. Did you find the use of this perhaps "random" production technique somewhat freeing? Puzzling?

I certainly have benefitted over the years by taking breaks during production and pulling my attention temporarily away from the task at hand. I then come back and the more correct path appears easier to see, but I've never used "OS".

Can you share any experiences?

Thanks!

Ken

I bought a set recently. Every time I pick a card it says "clean up"

My set must be psychic!

I think, which Is not saying much... that the original cards came out in the early 80's- (actually after digging around I was wrong- imagine....)

I remember having a set around the time the Talking Heads "Remain in Light" album came out-

this I found on the Oblique Strategies website-

I bought a set about 3 years ago when he did a new run. Shortly after that when the dollar took a major dump the price basically doubled because of the exchange rate.

I use them all the time. Its nice to wack yourself out of your rut when your over focused.

Guys,

maybe its worth checking on all the albums Mr Eno has produced since Oblique Strategies was released and see how many were successful .....

Just curious
