How can I get 8 different 1073's out of the UAD plugin?

I saw your James Lidell shoot-out video and I was intrigued by the differences between your eight hardware 1073's and what led you to choose a different 1073 for the snare.

How would you describe the differences between your hardware units and do you have any thoughts or ideas on how I could go about 'emulating' these differences when I track or mix with my UAD 1073 plugin?

Perhaps by playing with different preamp or impedance settings or even by placing other UAD plugins before hitting the 1073?

Thanks in advance and best regards,
De Pepper

Honestly I like your thoughts here to get the "variable" differences.. I myself use different EQ's (1081, 550, or others) to do the same thing...

Cool, thanks for you reply :-) - I'll continue experimenting.

.. And I'll assume that the variation across multiple hardware units can - for lack of better words - be likened with 'bumps and dips' in the frequency spectrum.

Certainly differences in frequency spectrum.. thin, dark, and different distortion amounts...
