Production and dynamics

Hello Jacquire !

Kings of Leon, Of Monsters and Men and Editors' albums have been huge sonic inspiration to me (especially The Weight of Your Love).

Sounding loud is not as important as before (the Loudness War is on the verge of disappearing) and dynamics are the new loud so, how do you explain these things to the bands you're producing?

And does it change your way of recording, mixing or producing music?

Thanks a lot for your answers !

Cheers,

I think if an arrangement has space when it's available or appropriate and lifts and moves when needed then there is nothing to explain. I've only ever worried about loudness at mastering so not a great deal of change for me... I've always also shied away from sending out rough mixes at too loud of a level
