I experiment a lot but I consistently use LA2A, 610's, Studer and Ampeg tape emulations, SSL channel strips and mix bus compressors, NEVE's, Lexicon Reverb, Pultec EQ's,

When I'm getting fancy I use Fairchilds and Shadow hill compressors.

I also use the guitar and bass amps on all sorts of sounds as well.
