Congrats for all your awesome work!
I'm searching for a long time about infos of the "making" of the miseducation.
One of my favorites album
Could you please inform us about the tracking process, tools and mixing of this masterpiece?

Hi and thanks alot

that was a long time ago!!! In regards to the tracking process — that was still the days of tape so we cut the album to tape using neve and ssl boards —— I used the mpc 3000 heavily at the time

Neve pre’s were prolly my favorite then straight to tape to get it the fattest as possible

Commissioner gordon and Warren Ryker mixed it

Sorry not more detailed that was literally 20 years ago, but we definitely relied heavily on classic analog gear

That makes sense, the drums have that classic fatness to them..... Neve to tape sounds about right. I love the drums and the whole production on That Thing. It’s still one of my reference tracks.
