Hi!
What would happen if you find a good placement for both microphones in front of the amp, but then you realize that you're not that satisfied with the tones and decide to add, let's say, more gain.
Do you have to change the position of the mics again?

So does this mean that at 44.1 Khz 1 sample = about 8 mm...?

I think air temperature/density changes the speed of sound. Not that it matters, very smart of you there!

Billy Bush, the white noise test is very interesting. I heard something similar before in a book called 'Mixing With Your Mind' and he suggested pink noise. Wouldn't this make sense above using white noise, as a fuller spectrum is more audible (even if it is not technically balanced)?
