Polarity/Phase issues with Multi Mic Setups

Hi Joel, I had a question on polarity/phase. When recording bands and a number of artists and with several multi micing situations - how do we counter the issue of getting recording while avoiding polarity/phase issues. Also, once we do record - what is the process that you would recommend that we follow to resolve these issues. Thanks. Looking forward to the session.

Arrange stereo mics with heads almost touching, but pointing 90-degrees away from each other. This negates phase problems.

If you get phase problems, simply switch phase invert button on appropriate channel of mixing desk. (Recording software may be able to do this as well.)

Don't seek to cure phase problems unless they're actually happening.
