I've never really used bass amp plugins, but I LOVE amplifikation lite and vermilion (no real need for creme), so I tried this. Now I'm buying it.

I've used just about every bass amp sim out there and this one is (IMHO) the best one by a rather large margin. The tonal palate available there is pretty staggering. This combined with a good impulse response library (redwirez to name one) will give you options a plenty and I honestly can't see any musical style you cannot cover with this. Since buying this I've done 3 different mixes in varying styles (latin, rock, pop) and in all cases I easily found something that suit the track perfectly

More types of distortion would welcome... fuzz would be nice. Stuff like that.

This plug has a fantastic sound and I'm glad I purchased... however, I am having some issues with it becoming unresponsive in Cubase 8 64-bit. The plug sometimes stops working altogether, passing the raw bass signal through unprocessed, and I am unable to turn it back on or change any of the settings. The only solution is to remove the instance of the plug and put a new one on.

@zachaction
We have had another user reporting similar problem, also in Cubase.
If you were using the VST3 version, try using the 'regular' VST version (or vice versa). Sound and performance should be the same.

I'm not sure which version I'm using, but I'll give the opposite version a try and report back after a day or two of usage! Thanks!

I'd love to order Cerberus, but when I complete my order information, choose PayPal as a method of payment, and click "continue", I just get a page of what looks like strange symbols. Seems there is a problem with your website..

I'm on OS X 10.10.3, using Safari.

I didn't need a bass sim but decided to try out Vermilion based (no pun intended!) on the reviews you guys were giving this here fella and, well, loved it enough to buy it. Best clean > chunky I've gotten in to and really felt the sale price made it a no-brainer!

My go to bass amp sim

I've used Studio Devil, Amplitube, Softube Bass Amp Room, and a few other random ones. Cerberus is my new go-to amp. It's easy to dial in a good sound. The presets are great. And the range of tones more than fit my needs (rock, indie, punk). I give it 7 thumbs up (my highest rating!).

Relating back to my previous post, since switching to the VST2 64-bit plug and deleting the VST3, I have had no problems whatsoever. Absolutely LOVE this plug-in.

I have Amplitube and Softtube Bass Amp Room. Gotta admit, the Cerberus is
now the bass amp to beat. Top drawer.
