Software Sonimus Britson Console coming soon

I confess, Sonimus is one of my favorite companies, waiting for this toy.

So is this suppose to give you a different flavor compared to Satson?

I believe so.
Satson, as I understand it, is "inspired" by SSL.
This by Neve 8014.

I really like Satson.
I hope to really like Britson.

WAsn't Satson designed as a mix between SSL and API flavour? Could be wrong though. Long time user here.
Still using Satson a lot. Curious about this baby!

Could be right !
I'm not sure other than I think there is certainly an SSL influence.

Well, I use Satson all over the place all the time, so if this is just as good but with a different flavor I'm all in!

True. But the pic indicates that it can't be far. At least I like to think so

I wonder if you can mix the 2. or even better if you can switch between the 2 so you don't loose your mix settings on previous projects.

Britson is ABSOLUTELY. INCREDIBLE.

First ITB saturation I've heard (especially of the Neve/British flavor) that 99% NAILS that iron transformer sound.

WOWWWWWWW.

+1 on this. It would be really great to be able to switch and even better if it's compatible with what we have right now.

I'll buy it... I own Satson and SonEQ Pro... use Satson on all my projects, all the tracks, since it came out, best tool EVER for a mixer who gets tons of tracks recorded by other people.

I hope so too and it looks promising. Gain, HPF, LPF, VU meter and a "fat" button. Pretty much the same as Satson. I just hope there's no cheesy fake glare on the VU meter. I'm not usually not one to complain about a plugin GUI but that glare on the Satson VU is just silly and annoying. Yes, you can turn it off (thank you for that) but it's just one more click *every* time I instantiation the plugin and I use this plugin on most tracks, which adds up to a lot of clicks.

I also use VCC and I'm looking forward to hearing how they sound together.

Awesome

I've been beta testing this plug for a few weeks and it's fantastic - I mix rock records and own Satson, Slate, NLS, Sheps etc etc.

This is a really special plugin, which is really par for the course for these guys.

How they milk such a sweet high end out of their plugins is borderline black magic.

CPU

Also for what it's worth, with 100 mono tracks in pro tools, each with a single instance per track here's the cpu usage:

Britson: 7%
Satson: 5%
Waves Sheps 73: 32%
Slate VCC: 7% (somehow i didn't think it was THIS lightweight)
Klanghelm SDRR: 36%
SSL Channel 6%

I'm about to do the same. I like the fact that the Satson has the HPF I use it all the time to cut low end freq's that aren't needed.

I just bought the Waves Scheps and I'm pretty impressed. The color is great, and it's a very musical EQ. So I'm keen to see what Sominus have in store.
