Free 15GB "Copy" cloud storage

There's a new cloud service with 15 GB of free space! Here's the link: https://copy.com?r=QaIO4T It works the same as Dropbox but gives you three times the free space.

"We have 2/3/4/etc times more space for trivial sync between computers" services are no longer very relevant after appearing of BitTorrent Sync - BitTorrent Labs.

New Company COPY Cloud Storage.

I suppose you guys may have already seen this on the Pro-Tools-Expert.com site:

A new company is taking on dropbox called "COPY" and they are having a membership drive. A free account gets you 15 gigs of space and for a limited time get an extra 5 gigs of space when use the link I provide. That is 20GB for just signing up. I am using it now. Very cool interface. You can use on mobile devices as well. This is a special ground floor opportunity. If you recall when dropbox started they did a similar thing. The lucky people were the ones who got in during the initial push. Sign up here and I will get 5 gigs too.

Now's the time to rack up the free storage space. Apparently the amount you can gain is unlimited for the moment.

That's pretty decent. But has anyone tried Kim Dotcom's new Mega thing? Isn't he offering something like 50gb free with account? Don't know if it does the same sort of behind the scenes syncing that DropBox does so well. Apple should really have this functionality in the OS. At some point I bet they will.

Desktop app isn't working for me (MacPro 10.7.5).

I get a "failed to parse string" error when clicking "manage my files" and anything dragged to the "Copy" folder just doesn't upload.

Anyone else get this?

I'm on 10.8.3. I guess it's a bug. But I found a way to work it out. I have to first upload a couple of files using their web interface (dragging the files in Copy folder to the web upload interface) to make the application start to sync automatically. But afterwards it works normally, syncing the Copy folder properly.

Hope it helps.

I always used dropbox but didn't quite like the UI and I had stability issues with sync. SO far SO good with Copy =D Every feature I need and nothing more!!!

Tell me about privacy and cloud storage such as this. What guarantees, if any, are in place to keep our uploaded data private? I care little about recordings of harpsichords and woodblocks, but what if we opt to upload info that's more personal? It's already far too easy for a mildly ambitious hacker to buy sex pillows from Albania by decoding a promo email sent from Costco. This could be like putting candy directly into his hand.
