Not really a new one, but at least I haven't post this here. Last year, I made some EDM kicks. They have got some nice feedback, so I thought that some of you may like them too!
To me, this have been learning process too, so first 100 kicks are, well, maybe not so good. Also the some of the kicks between 200-300 may have little too much mid click. Nothing that little EQ'ing doesn't cant fix. The kicks 301-500 should be better, I guess. Judge yourself.
So, the total amount of kicks are 500. They are made on scratch and they are labeled to the key, where they are made. Like mhak kick F# or G and so on. This would save your time. They are totally royalty free or something. Feel free to use them.
Anyway, I hope you like them and sorry for my bad english!
Hey - just downloaded, great sounds, great cataloguing, site seems popular as well, what gives? Going commercial soon? Ask out of respect of your gesture - huge thanks (esp. on the tuning and labelling, never even seen that in pro sample sets!!)
Kicks sounding superb for EDM here on my VXT6s....
Fabulous properly useable Kicks - easily competes with Vengeance. They are a better overall offering considering that you provide a key note for them too...
Only little issue is that the 32bit format (rather than 24 or 16) is quite restrictive, as many programs do not read that directly and would therefore need a long winded process of importing via a 3rd party app.
Thanks a lot!
I'm really happy, if they sounds good on your VXT6. That is vital info for me, as believe or not, I don't even own monitors :(
I made kick packs 1-3 by using Audio Technica ATH-M50's, and kick packs 4-5 I made with akg k 240 mkii's. The reason why I changed the headphones was that after kickpack 3, some people said that some of the kicks have too much mid click, which I didn't hear on those M50's. I tried and tried to listen, but I simply cannot hear nothing wrong there. Then I read that M50's mid's are so recessed. So, I sold them and I bought these akg's. After listening my m50 kicks with akg's, I was "oh boy". The mids were clickin like hell. Not in all kicks, but some of the kicks.
About to "going on commercial". Well, these were my first kicks. The reason why I even started to do kicks was, that none of the sample cd's kicks haven't been labeled. I found it very frustrating to search and search the right kick, which would be in certain key. It took time and my nervous, as I just wanted to do things, not use my time to searching something. You know.
And then, one night, I was thinking that if this kills my creativity or makes me angry, this has to happen to someone else too. On that spot, I decide to learn and do my own kicks, to help people. I never thought making these kicks on money on my mind. My first and only purpose was to help people. Make it easier to find right kick with certain key, and I am more than happy, if I have succeeded in that.
But in the other hand, making one kick, it takes 30-60min. Sometimes you can get in 10 or 15min, but sometimes it takes more than hour. The most challenging part is to make kick working with other sounds. You, or I can make nice sounding kick, which sounds good alone, but right, when you add bassline and some hihats, it's not working anymore. Not even close. Then you need to go back and edit things.
So, yes, it would be nice to have a reward for the hard work. But I don't know. I don't say yes or! For now, I'm just happy that I have helped people, and people seems to be happy. That is my reward, for now

Thank you for the nice gesture. You do not have to do it. Really. As I said, I did not do this for the money. But, if you still want to donate;

Hey, there is 24 and 32 bit kicks available! That HTMEM site owner should have those 24 bit kicks too. I don't know, why he have put only 32 bit's on that rar. But here is the link for the 24 bit files, and I will send message to that site owner, so he update that pack. Sorry!
