Godammit Sean, I haven't even rolled out the installs for all the rest of your stuff I just bought for all our studios!
Great plugins and stellar pricing!

Wow..
Love it.

Very different to ValRoom...
Less realistic spaces. More 3Dness.
Very cool..

Adds a polish to a tune which had a combo of Valroom and Tsar on it before..

Look forward to spending some quality time with this plug.
Well done Valhalla folk!.

Cheers
Dave

That's crazy. Please no absurd feature requests. Sean should clearly only allow users to lock the 80's version of the GUI.

70's version...

Sean said it's heavy processing to change algos like that and can't be avoided. It actually is way smoother than the lx480 in that department I think (switching algos on the fly).
Sean is super awesome, this thing rules!

Love the way the "300" presets do small spaces.
Yo Henge. I always buy Sean's plugins without a demo. Can you tell me where I can find these "300" presets you are referring to? Or could you send them to me (since all of the Valhalla presets are easily sent test files)? This verb is awesome, by the way.

There in the presets section in the Ambience,Halls and Random Space sub sections with a 300 in front of them.

I think I changed the Ambience presets with "300" in the label to "Large Ambience/Med Ambience/Small Ambience." The early reflections were adjusted to sound similar to the presets with similar names on my Lexicon 300, but the late reverb sounds totally different.

I didn't try to reproduce the "late reverb" in the Lex 300 Ambience algorithm because, well, it sounds pretty horrible. It's not even a reverb - it's a stereo echo with filtering. My guess is that all the cycles in the Ambience algorithm had to be put into the time-varying early reflections, and there weren't enough processor cycles left for a decent reverb. I ended up putting a reverb in my Ambience algorithm that is similar to the Chamber reverb, but with less modulation.

3 color modes for dialing in the tone color and sonic artifacts of a specific reverb era:

-1970s. Replicates the reduced bandwidth of the earliest digital reverberators (10 kHz maximum output frequency). Downsampled internally, to reproduce the artifacts of running at a lower sampling rate. The modulation is dark and noisy, and can produce strange and random sidebands with sustained notes. This is intentional.
-1980s. Full bandwidth / sampling rate, for a brighter sound than the 1970s. The modulation is still dark and noisy, but will produce different artifacts than the 1970s mode as it is running at the full sampling rate.
- NOW. Full bandwidth / sampling rate. The modulation is clean and colorless.

Good Sir!

Are you implying that I, perhaps, saw this was released, stopped and immediately downloaded the demo (without reading the manual if there is in fact one) messed around with it all helter skelter then came back here to make ill-informed, snap, jack-assy feature requests!?!!

Well if so, you would be correct... and I'll do it again [maniacal laugh] isn't that how the internets "work"

Kidding of course - the GUI thing is something I didn't know and is really cool. I wondered why it said things like "Full Bandwidth" and didn't see any control for such - Love the demo so far. Congrats to Sean on another great product!

Point taken. Thanks for the demo.

Thanks for doing this

IMHO I like the LX480 best in this test.
However
Having played with both over the last couple of hours I think vintageverb is a lot closer than the test above for $50 its a no brainer. My dilemma is whether to also pay the $200 to upgrade my LX480 lite which I love but seems to fill the same space as vintageverb. What a time for ITB reverbs WOW.

Here are some demos using VVerb, the first 2 were made during the Beta phase, the third one I made this morning staring happily at the 1.0 release number on the Plug-In UI - another spatial Masterpiece, Sean!
