Bryce, thanks for the heads up. So it's in the API family. How would you compare it to let's say a CAPI 28..
The vp28's mic amp (which is the vp26) is based off the input modules of jeff's console and not the 312, then the vp28 adds the fader gain stage. The mic gain stages are similar, but they are different beasts with different transformers, opamps, etc.
Not yet. I do live sound too and one of my two 01v96's goes out for shows. I will be unable to give the WA12 a try out until after Christmas. It is all racked up and ready to go. I had just finished mixing a CD release and decided to buy myself an early Christmas present.
I played my acoustic guitar thru it and that did sound thick and lovely.
